We’ve had this Faded Cherry Radar spec’d out in our minds since we first launched the design this year, and it does not dissapoint!
While this iteration may be the most noticably inspired by an SG, with it’s iconic Cherry finish over mahogany, the Radar diverges in a few really key ways: Since the waist is closer to the middle of the body than an SG, the Radar balances more like a Fender style guitar making it incredibly comfortable to play in the seated position. The bass side cutaway is also closer to the 12th fret, so it isn’t a stretch to the first position and it does not suffer from neck dive. On top of those features, the Radar has a bolt-on neck which provides an extra snap and unique flavour to the voicing that is incredibly compelling.
Our Custom “V.O.” Humbuckers by McNelly provide a beautiful vintage PAF voicing, while a perfectly rolled fretboard edge, aged hardware, and light relic nitro finish give this guitar a broken-in, vintage feel.
