Artist Spotlight
Robb Cappelletto
Toronto-based guitarist, composer, and educator Robb Cappelletto has carved a unique niche in the music world with his fusion of progressive jazz, rock, and hip-hop. Robb’s musical journey is marked by a seamless blend of genres. As a solo artist, his compositions reflect a lyrical and forward-thinking approach, merging the complexities of jazz with the energy of progressive rock. His work with the group re.verse showcases his ability to redefine the guitar's role within hip-hop contexts. Beyond performance, Robb is a dedicated educator with over 20 years of professional teaching experience with York University and as a mentor at the Sonora Guitar Intensive, where he shares his expertise with aspiring musicians. His mentorship of bluegrass artist Billy Strings has been a highlight of his tenure with Sonora.
Collaborating with Robb has been a true privilege for us at Frank Brothers Guitar Co. With his deep technical knowledge as an experienced guitar tech and his extensive playing background, Robb offers a unique perspective that consistently brings valuable insights to the table. His thoughtful feedback has directly contributed to our evolution as luthiers, helping us refine both our instruments and our approach to craftsmanship.

About re.verse
When describing the four-piece hip-hop/jazz group re.verse the first word that comes to mind is authenticity. From the beginning of the band’s history, they have focused on the artistry of the specific: getting deep into the music of J Dilla, D’Angelo, and other hip-hop/neo-soul legends, all while developing their own unique improvisational and compositional identity. Performing at some of Canada’s top venues such as Koerner Hall with the likes of DJ Skratch Bastid, Shad, TONA, Adam Bomb, The Halluci Nation (Formerly Tribe Called Red), Tanika Charles, and Charlotte Day Wilson, re.verse has built a dedicated fanbase, from young jazz musicians to old-school hip-hop heads. On June 12, 2025, re.verse releases Float, a brilliant new studio album of original compositions. Check out re.verse online and on instagram for info about upcoming performances, releases, and more.
