Q&A with Nick Greer of

1. How did you hear about FBGC?

I remember seeing some Instagram posts about FBGC a long while ago...I wound up calling you guys once and got some info, then we met at NAMM a couple of years in a row where I got to play some of the guitars, and after that, the Korina beauty just had to happen.

2. Why did you choose an Arcade?

Because the Arcade rocks, and I came to party. Don’t you wanna party?

I chose the Arcade for the solid body chonk...being able to go all Korina really was awesome, since I love the sound and look of Korina. Match that all up with the awesome trapeze wrap tail, Brandonwound 59 pickups, and stripped down controls, and this thing parties hard.

3. You’ve had your guitar for a couple months now - what have you learned about it?

I’ve learned that this guitar has one metric ton of sounds in it and will cover an insane amount of territory. It’s also gorgeous, and the fit and finish are unparalleled. It just feels like the definition of QUALITY in every way.

4. What is your favourite feature on your Arcade?

My favorite feature on this Arcade would have to be the Korina body and neck. The wood is gorgeous, and the guitar rings out like nothing else in my collection.

5. What Greer pedal(s) or Amps are good pairings for your Arcade?

I’ve been playing this thing a ton with my Lightspeed, a prototype dirty boost, a Black Tiger Delay and a fuzz prototype into my Greer Thunderbolt30 test amp...I think the Arcade might open doors to other dimensions...it at least messes with time. I could play that rig all day and not realize it. It’s a guitar...it’s a time machine...it’s an Arcade.

6. You have over 80 guitars in your collection - what stands out about your Arcade?

My Arcade is exactly what I ordered it to be...it stands out ahead of most of the guitars in my collection on a few levels. The fit and finish is second to none, the neck profile is beefy in exactly the right way, and it does what it does better than any of the other guitars. I’m going to be selling off quite a few guitars because of this one. The sell off list is growing, and I’m falling in love with this guitar...a second FBGC guitar is already being dreamed up riiiiiight now.

Bonus question: what album(s) are you geeking out over right now?

I have a few albums in heavy rotation, but my top album at the moment would have to be DZ Deathrays’ album called Positive Rising: Part 1. That album is amazing, and I’ve been listening to it while building for a while. It never gets old. I’ve also been jamming The Tragically Hip’s Fully Completely a lot, and Fatherson’s album Sum of All Your Parts...I always end up back on Positive Rising: Part 1, though.
